Description

The work Delicacy of Contours by Heinz Möseneder from 2017 shows a fascinating fusion of abstraction and figurative representation. In subtle shades of grey and with delicate lines, a human body is suggested in a moment of vulnerability and grace. The partially applied white colour creates an almost sculptural effect and makes the surface appear alive. This painting explores intimacy and the fragility of the human form without losing elegance and dignity. The reduction to a few colours and lines directs the focus to the essence of the motif - a quiet, thoughtful presence.
