Description

"Holocaust I" is a haunting work that reflects the horrors of the Holocaust through a sombre and emotional depiction. The dark, washed-out colours symbolise the depth of loss and grief, while the stylised, faceless figures represent the universal experience of suffering and dehumanisation.

The textures and the subtle hint of movement in the composition are reminiscent of fading memories that are nevertheless indelibly engraved in history. Möseneder's work calls for reflection and a reminder not to forget the horrors of the past.
