Description
The series "Iceland IV, V and VI" is an artistic journey through the harsh, mystical landscapes of Iceland. In these works, Heinz Möseneder merges geological forms with abstracted human contours, creating a poetic symbiosis of nature and man. The black and white tones, interspersed with fine lines and dynamic hatching, lend the pictures a sculptural quality. The relief-like texture of the surfaces is reminiscent of the dramatic topography of Icelandic glaciers, volcanoes and rock formations.
In Island IV, a mountain-like structure appears to be enveloped by delicate, filigree lines, like a geological form shaped by time. Iceland V continues this journey and shows massive structures, seemingly chiselled in stone, which are interrupted by Möseneder's unmistakable organic patterns. In Island VI, the elements become denser and the composition appears to be a dance between the hardness of the rock and the lightness of the wind.
These works invite the viewer to discover the connection between the raw beauty of Iceland and the vulnerability of human emotions. The lines are reminiscent of the artistic gaze of a sculptor who is able to recognise both the outer landscape and the inner world of man in the forms.
