Description

The painting "Backbend in Red" by Heinz Möseneder shows a female figure in a graceful backbend, reminiscent of a yoga pose. The figure, delicately drawn in white, seems to blend harmoniously into the composition of dominant red and earthy colours. The bright red background, complemented by warm ochre and beige tones, creates an atmosphere of intensity and warmth that supports the figure's pose.

The curved posture symbolises flexibility, inner strength and the connection between body and mind. The contrast between the softly sculpted figure and the geometrically structured surfaces of the background creates an exciting dialogue characterised by harmony and contrasts. The work invites you to feel the calm and energy that lie in the movement depicted.
