Description

This impressive wooden relief, made from lime wood, features skilful carvings with organic shapes and flowing lines. The work appears to be inspired by nature, with hints of leaves, tree bark or roots. The natural grains and knots of the lime wood are skilfully incorporated into the work, giving the sculpture a lively and raw quality. The concave and convex shapes create a fascinating interplay of light and shadow, emphasising the depth and structure of the wood.
