With "Hidden Form", Heinz Möseneder takes up his roots as a sculptor and transfers them to painting. The structure of the picture is reminiscent of a sandstone sculpture, in which the essentials only become visible through reduction. Fine lines and luminous, golden accents create the impression that the figure has been carved directly out of the stone.

The earthy tones of the canvas background reinforce the sculptural effect, while the light dancing in the golden shades lends the work an almost living presence. The abstract depiction allows the viewer to discover shapes and contours that appear like a fragment of an ancient sculpture - simultaneously concealed and revealing.

This work is an impressive combination of painting and sculpture that impressively demonstrates Möseneder's extraordinary feel for form, structure and light. It radiates both strength and subtle elegance and is a silent dialogue between matter and art.
