Description
This watercolour on paper captures the unique texture and structure of Sölker marble and gives it a poetic vibrancy. The layered patterns of the stone, depicted in soft shades of blue and beige, look like fossilised memories that stand the test of time. The deep blue background emphasises the presence and strength of the marble, while at the same time conveying a meditative stillness.
In this work, Heinz Möseneder combines the infinite tranquillity of nature with an almost mystical aura. The composition suggests not only the material stability of the marble, but also its hidden stories and the immortality of nature.
